Ethical and professional values of Urrejola y Compañía are linked from the beginning to partner Eduardo Urrejola González (1938-2022), a lawyer, academic and public servant of great trajectory.
He graduated as a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 1962, where he was a Professor at the same faculty where he studied. Co-founder and Director of the Legal Clinic of the Law Faculty of the Pontificia Universidad Católica, the first of its kind in the country. In the opinion of Gabriel Bocksang, Dean of that faculty, Eduardo Urrejola was «one of the great professors that our community has had in the last half century». At the same time, he served for more than 50 years in the Consejo de Defensa del Estado, where he became Counsel and president of its Criminal Section and first alternate of its Chairman, sponsoring transcendental cases of financial fraud and being there an example of work, knowledge, moral rectitude and academic and personal generosity.
